Our Initial Funds

The Rockland Community Foundation has established the following eight initial fund areas in which Rockland nonprofits can apply for grants and donors can contribute. Under each fund are named funds. Rockland Community Foundation staff and Board committee members investigate grant applications, monitor use of funds by recipients and evaluate program results.

Stony Point Town HallThe Environment Fund
Funds will be used to protect and preserve the environment in Rockland County.

The Arts Fund
Funds will be used to promote, enrich and support the arts in Rockland County.

The Andrew Norman Social Justice Fund
Named in honor of Andrew Norman, this fund supports social justice in Rockland County.

Funds will be used to encourage the development of opportunities for women and girls in Rockland County.

The Education Fund
Funds will be used to support the provision of educational opportunities in Rockland County.

The Founders Fund
Funds provided by Foundation Board members will be used at the discretion of the individual Board members making the contribution.

The Rockland 21st Century Fund
Funds provided by individual donors to be used at the discretion of the donors.
