The Rockland Community Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that acts as an advocate and civic leader whose efforts and actions
reflect the values and aspirations of the Rockland community.

The Rockland Community Foundation is designed to raise the public consciousness of giving in Rockland to the benefit of all nonprofits in Rockland.

The Foundation may convene disparate groups-corporate leaders, educators, youth, parents, nonprofits, the faith community and elected officials-to work toward a common objective.

The Rockland Community Foundation is donor-driven and exists solely to help ensure Rockland County sustains as a desirable place to live for all individuals now and in the future. It serves the community in the broadest sense but with a focus on issues of critical importance to all citizens of Rockland County.

The Board of Directors, members of the Advisory Board, the Executive Director and professional advisors, represent a cross segment of leadership positions in Rockland, from public service and youth issues, to education, business, finance, law and philanthropy, and live in towns, villages and hamlets throughout every part of the county.

The Rockland Community Foundation is entrenched in the fabric of Rockland County in terms of county nonprofits and the county’s needs and aspirations.

It is actively involved in the Rockland Development Council and the Institute for Nonprofits, and has open communications with key government and civic organizations and a majority of nonprofits in the county
