The Rockland Community Foundation has many funds designed to address a multitude of critical and ongoing needs in our community. The Foundation staff and Board committee members investigate grant applications, monitor use of funds by recipients and evaluate program results. We can help you direct your giving to areas that are of importance to you. All funds under the Foundation umbrella share one main commonality, monies are granted only to Rockland County charitable causes.
If you wish to remain involved in recommending grants for charitable causes a donor-advised fund allows you to have an ongoing roll and designate current fund advisors such as yourself and spouse as well as successor advisors. The Rockland Community Foundation has a simple fund establishment process with a step-wise funding plan that puts donor – advised funds within the reach of anyone with a passion for a particular cause without the expense and effort of creating your own foundation.
The Rockland Community Foundation can make it easy for any charitable organization to respond to changing needs in Rockland and protect and fulfill its mission going forward. Scholarships, memorial funds and other designated funds gain the benefit of combined assets to help produce greater returns. A fund can be established to help benefit your school district, which can help fulfill emerging needs as state and federal funds for education continue to shrink.
