Thank you for your interest in The Spirit of Rockland Scholarship. The Rockland Community Foundation is pleased to be able to support our youth by offering this unique scholarship opportunity which is underwritten by The Chazen Foundation Fund. We are committed to ensuring that Rockland County is a desirable place to live for now and in the future. What better way to support our mission then by investing in our youth and promoting higher education?

On the subsequent page you will find our application. Please complete all components and include all required attachments. Your complete application must be postmarked by the deadline, May 15th. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Your application will be reviewed by members of the Rockland Community Foundation. Selections will be based on a student’s commitment to service to our community, demonstration of leadership skills, financial need, overall academic progress and involvement in extracurricular activities and the required essays.

Finalists may be contacted for an interview before May 22. The award will be made no later than June 5, 2009.
